Wow mate, what a great picture. I'm considering a trip to SE Asia in the next couple months … photos like these are going to make me get there sooner rather than later.

hey Matt – yeah Malaysia has so many amazing colors, and so many shades of GREEN :p these tea plantations were in Cameron Highlands, and were incredible – plus Cameron Highlands is the only cold(er) place in Malaysia, so after dealing with 35C heat for so many weeks – 15C is sooo refreshing up in the hills! :)

Wow,, look at that! Seems very mysterious..

That's an awesome picture!! it looks like “green velvet” :) I have been to Malaysia and was very impressed by its landscape, its beaches….very beautiful !

  • http://www.aswetravel.com/ As We Travel

wonderful eh! :) they also gave us a tour of how they make the tea, and then we got to sit around and drink it over-looking the plantations – loads of fun! :)

  • Dodma

What is place name in Malaysia? Kalimantan?

  • Yuki

Beatiful. Takes me back to when I was in Mlaysia. I remember the palm
tree plantation and the red road between them and the bluesky. You can drive for an hour seeing them only!!!

Hey Dodma – it was taken in Cameron Highlands on the Malaysian mainland. :)

Hey Michela – yeah and those plantations were never-ending over many hills- didn't quite fit into the picture – like you say as well the beaches in Malaysia are beautiful – I could spend months there, and can't wait to get back again! – thanks for sharing your site as well – we are planning a trip into the aussie outback next year, and your site has many great tips!

Wow. I can't get over how green it is! The texture is quite funny-it reminds me of corduroy…

  • suzyguese

This is gorgeous. It looks like green corduroy fabric. Excellent photo!

  • Haytham

this place is amazing, I am planning to revisit soon, been there last year, the most amazing part was drinking TeaChino @ BOH's cafe overlooking the tea plantation, such an AMZING place. don't know wht they don't sell BOH products allover the world.

  • http://www.aswetravel.com/ As We Travel

Hi Haytham, yeah the place was incredible, so many different shades of green! Yes it's a pity they don't sell it here, I brought some tea with me home and gave it to my parents who absolutely loved it.
