Today AsWeTravel.com is 6 months old!

WOW – today it has been exactly 6 months since AsWeTravel.com started online, and what a fun journey we’ve had! To be honest we never knew what to expect when we first started posting and sharing our travel articles, blogs, travel advice etc.

sofia von poratWe didn’t realize what an amazing community of people there was out there.

Some of you preparing to travel the world, others currently traveling and everyone is just sharing so many amazing stories, tips and advice – you ALL rock!

And to be honest AWT wouldn’t be the same today if it wasn’t for YOU the thousands of visitors coming to our site every month, sharing your comments, retweeting our articles with your friends and connecting with us from every part of the world.

You all inspire us so much to continue doing what we do, and push us to explore even more of this amazing place we call Earth – THANKS! - So what are our plans for the NEXT 6 months?

As many of you know we are about to release our first travel book (the pre.travel guide) – and based on how things are going (i.e working 12hr days :S) we are looking to release it on this site around the 16th August – very exciting for us!

Also we are planning on traveling to USA for the first time at the end of the year – do a road trip through America before heading down to South America and then … only Life knows… ;)

    Hey Matt, thanks – it's been a great ride with AWT! yeah the Americas should be a fun adventure – any tips on best places to visit?

    Wow, now that's a big order. We'll keep it simple, and say spend some time in the Midwest. It's an area often missed by RTW travelers, or ANY travelers in general. Yet Midwesterners (especially Iowans!) are hospitable, welcoming, and it's a surprisingly beautiful place – depending on when you visit.

    Do you have any tentative plans?

    haha yeah I'm sure there are SO MANY things to see in USA. We will make sure to check out the midwest. Our tentative plans are to arrive in Canada and spend a month skiing, before heading to New York with the aim of getting to the West Coast (L.A) any way we can (taking a few months and many detours) – then head down to Central and South America and to NZ again.
