Wherever I go my Sari follows.
The Sari is the most versatile travel item there could ever be – I use it as a towel, beach / picnic blanket, dress and a skirt. Using a Sari for these things is probably not new for you, BUT do you know how to make a bag out of a Sari???
Yes, not only can you throw out your heavy towels and clothes, but you won’t even need an extra beach/shopping bag!
By using the Furoshiki technique (explained in the video below), you can fold your Sari into a bag. In Japan there are special furoshiki stores, where you can buy the fabric, but it works well with a normal Sari as well. Ideally the cloth should be of a square design, but I use my rectangular Sari as well and it works fine.
