Earlier this year we spent 3 weeks traveling around Sri Lanka, a country with incredible diverse nature and the most charming people.
Sri Lanka is so full of surprises and experiences, there are so many things to see and do there that we didn’t feel that 3 weeks was enough.
Here is a video we made of our our 3 week trip: in under 4 minutes on video – enjoy!

Nice video, it’s brought back some great memories for me from my trip there.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Three weeks would be awesome or long enough for me but, like what you’ve said, doesn’t seem to be enough. It may be a small country or sometimes under estimated but again, it has a lot to offer. I see that you’ve visited The Hill Country, how about the Cultural Triangle?
We would have loved to explore the cultural triangle but we didn’t have time for that, which is one of the reasons we want to go back there again and do everything we missed out on
That nice beach with great waves is perfect for summer vacation. I like to watch the fire-dances, whip dances, Kandian dances and various other cultural dances. Sri Lanka is must visit for its festival and natural resources.
There are so many beaches that are perfect for beach vacations in Sri Lanka! I was told that many of those screen savers we all have on our laptops with beautiful beaches are taken in Sri Lanka, which doesn’t surprise me at all
I agree, it’s also a great place for its culture and festivals.
GREAT vid, the beaches and fruit market look amazing. I love the music u added to the vid too. Looking fwd to seeing more videos.
Thanks Ada, the fruit in Sri Lanka (when it’s in season) is delicious, and the music is a traditional Sri Lankan song, glad to hear you liked it.
At some point before we leave Asia, I definitely want to spend a month in Sir Lanka. Your video was a wonderful synopsis of the place and has just made me all the more eager to go! I feel like it would be a perfect warm-up for India!
I would definitely recommend you visit Sri Lanka! Air Asia does some really cheap routes there every so often as well. We met a couple who went there from Thailand for a weekend trip.
It’s really wonderful, and I would say that it is actually very different from India, so go to both
Great Video guys. This made me want to visit there. That crowded mountain walk doesn’t look very enjoyable though! Keep up the good work.
Thanks! Climbing that mountain was by far the hardest challenge I have ever done. It was raining throughout the whole climb (4 hours) and I was so amazed by how old women who could barely walk climbed it barefoot.
Hey .. i’m live in here .. Nice video .. what happen to ” Dalada perahara and Dalada malidawa ( temple of tooth ) ” ??
I hope you will come back again ..
Hello,
we included some footage from temple of the tooth in the video, however we never got to see the tooth relic itself – the line was crazy long!
Oohh .. yes after 6.30PM .. it is a long line for see the tooth relic .. and if you want to see real tooth relic , that it is only show only one time for 5 years or when drought hit in sri lanka .. after every 6.30 pm show only ” Karaduwa ” ( Karaduawa means container that that contain relics ) you can’t see tooth relic ..
and there is soo many places to see .. let me give some best places..
sinharaja rain forest, Kumana park, udawalawe national park, ….
nilaveli beach, Mathara beach, Hikkaduwa beach …
Anuradhapura, Polannaruwa, Jafna ..
thanks this
