Belgrade, Serbia – Europe #15 [VIDEO]

Belgrade was a city neither of us had ever been to, and we weren’t quite sure what to expect.

We were curious to see what the city would look like, and what our impression of the people would be. We were wondering if the remnants from the war that were so present in Sarajevo would be similar in Belgrade.

So when we finally arrived we no longer had to wonder. Our first impression of Belgrade was that of a clean, beautiful city.

I would definitely recommend visiting a few of the many Kafanas in Belgrade, they have some really interesting and tasty sweets and cakes.

Visiting a market is also great fun, Kalenic Pijaca has everything from fresh home-grown produce to souvenirs from the communist era.

The Cathedral of Saint Sava is another popular place to visit.

Hope you have a great time in Belgrade in October!

excellent vids you two, Serbia looks beautiful. I’m really digging the style; fun, informative and great camera work. We’ll have to do a collabo at some point down the road. All the best.

Funny incident with the security guard! He wasn’t thinking you’ve got a gun though, he tried telling you that you can only use the camera hand-held and should pack up the tripod. Apparently tripods make you professional/commercial ;)

Haha yeah we realized that after a while, I guess we were a little flustered, especially when the women next to him asked us why we had bombed them..!

Well, the security Gard didn’t think that you had a gun,he tried to warn you that using video camera is not allowed in Kalemegdan.I mean,it is allowed if you get permission and pay I think from around 300eur or more.
        Kisses from Belgrade!

Another great video Nathan and Sofia! Thanks for sharing the ‘security troubles’ you had as well. It gives the viewer a good insight into some of the language barriers there are while showing how they can be worked through.

Hi, Sofia! I was on vacation, but now I’m watching all the videos and I love them! But I wanna tell you that I’ve been to Sweden and I came back completely in love with your country! I hope to come back soon! :-)
