After the sadness and pain of what we witnessed at Toul Sleng in Phnom Penh, we were excited to head up to Siem Reap and explore one of the biggest and amazing temple areas in the world – the famous Angkor Wat.
Nothing apart from visiting Angkor Wat can really give it justice - the crowds, all the temples, the amazing sunset which we experienced alone … it was a really amazing, and tiring day.

In the next episode we head back over to Thailand, and spend a few weeks relaxing and exploring the amazing islands down in the south.

Angkor Wat looks amazing, but also very hectic! great video.
We did a day tour there and only managed to see the main areas. The place is huge so it’s pretty hectic trying to see it all, with all those crowds too!

It was really crowded yeah, but Angkor Wat is popular for a reason, so you have to take the good with the bad

Angkor Wat is just lovely. I remember leaving our hotel as early as 4am in order to catch the sunrise in Angkor Wat. Only a few people were there by the time we reached the place. It was beyond words, just magical.
